The latest version of gallery has support for video clips - not sure how well it will work though.

I will get out tech guys to upgrade gallery to 2.2

FFMPEG is a graphics toolkit that can be used to process video files that you upload to Gallery. You must install the FFMPEG binary on your server, then enter the path to it in the text box below. If you're on a Unix machine, don't forget to make the binary executable (chmod 755 ffmpeg in the right directory should do it)

Path to FFMPEG: /usr/bin/ffmpeg

This module can automatically watermark the thumbnails for movies to help distinguish them from photos.

Supported MIME Types

The FFMPEG module can support files with the following MIME types

video/x-ms-asf
video/x-msvideo
video/x-flv
video/quicktime
video/mp4
video/mpeg
video/x-ms-wmv

We have been having some problems upgrading to v2.2 - it has not worked on our development box. The issues relate to the integration between footballnews and the gallery software. So we will have to work through those issues before doing the upgrade.
