Stingrays impress at weekend tournament



Adelaide Stingrays Futsal team, fielded Men’s & Youth sides against Vic Force, Northern Victoria, (Six teams) competed on the weekend with good results.

Adelaide Stingrays - opened the tournament against a strong and physical Vic Force with a 11 - 2 win to the Stingrays. The Vic Force were last years Men’s Open Age Victorian representative side but failed to get into their groove for much of the game and found it hard to penetrate against a well drilled Stingrays side.

The Grand Final was played between the Adelaide Stingrays side and the Nortehrn Victoria side. The Adelaide Stingrays Open Men’s team, players who proved to be technically and tactically sounder than their stronger and more experienced opponents. The score in the grand final was 4-2 to Adelaide Stingrays.

The tournament was used by the Stingrays team as a good hit out and fine tuning against good, strong club sides who play week in week out.
