Adelaide United FC - National Youth League

COACHING AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN NATIONAL YOUTH LEAGUE

Adelaide United Football Club, one of the most successful clubs in the fastest growing Australian Hyundai A League. The National Youth League is a newly created competition which will provide a pathway for youth players into the Hyundai A League and national teams and quality game-time to selected Hyundai A League players.

Consequently, we are seeking a number of highly motivated professionals in the following areas:

NATIONAL YOUTH LEAGUE COACH Part-time position (25-30 hours per week)

As the National Youth League Coach you must have a passion for the development of talent within a Club environment. You will be a professional who has a working knowledge of the modern game of football and have the ability to work with the senior coaching staff to lead some of the best young players in the country.

You will have a significant and successful coaching record at a senior level, with a strong history of youth player development in previous roles. As such, you will have experience in developing a Football Development Plan and implementing coaching philosophies and processes to foster talent. Knowledge of modern technologies and physiological preparation is essential, as are well developed communication skills. You must hold a current FFA/AFC Level “B” coaching license as a minimum.

TEAM MANAGER - Part-time position (20-25 hours per week)

As the Youth League Team Manager you will be required to attend all local and interstate training sessions and game days, and to work with the Club’s coaching staff to manage the operational requirements of players and staff.

You must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in sports, events management or other related industry, with a good working knowledge of Football Federation Australia regulations. Knowledge of financial administration and contractual requirements and a proven track record in operations and sports administration are required. The successful person will manage all aspects of match day operations including team apparel.

SPORTS TRAINER – Part-time position (20-25 hours per week)

As the Sports Trainer you must possess a sound knowledge of sports injury and treatment as you will be working closely with the Club’s Physiotherapist, Senior Sports Trainer and Coaching staff in providing treatment to players. You will manage the medical kits & sports medicine gear in conjunction with Senior Sports Trainer, as well as facilitate regular sports medicine education sessions for players. It is essential that you possess a current Level 2 Sports Medicine Certificate and First Aid Certificate.

All positions will require interstate travel for up to 12 days per year.

A suitable remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicants. All applications will need to be supported with three referees and a police clearance.
