Introductory Level Officiating Course
Sunday 6th of April
9am - 5pm
$60
This course is a prerequisite to gaining your Level 1 NCAS accreditation. The course looks at self management, managing the competition environment, the role of the official and people management. This course provides the introductory principles that every official must be able to understand and implement.

Essentials for Coaching Children Presenter Orientation Course
Tuesday 8th of April
6.30pm - 8.30pm
Free
This course is for all Coaches and Volunteers that are looking to become presenters for the increasingly popular Essentials to Coaching Children Course. The Course is ideal for organisers in schools, clubs and communities that have a large number of potential coaches which need an introduction to the essentials. Participants will learn how to deliver the course themselves.

Assessors Course
Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April
Saturday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Sunday 8.30am - 1.30pm
$80
A course for experienced coaches, volunteers and officials that are looking to become assessors. The Australian Sports Commission Assessor Training Program has been developed to provide a standard for the training of assessors, which is conducted either by national sporting organisations, or state and territory coaching and officiating centres. This course caters for those assessors working within their sport, who do not require the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Essentials for Coaching Children Course
Tuesday 15th of April
6.30pm to 9.30pm
$10
This course is essential for any coach that is coaching a junior sports team. This course covers the basic ideas and situations that a coach or volunteer would encounter whilst being involved with children in sport.

Mentor Skills Workshop
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of April

The workshops will provide direction for the development of “Frameworks” and “Skills Training” for mentors within an existing program.
Please Note “Mentor Skills Training” workshop participants wishing to attend this workshop must have attended one of the “ASC Developing Mentor Framework Workshops” or be recognised as an existing mentor within a National or State mentor program and framework.

The Children’s Protection Act 1993 in South Australia now requires recreation and sport organisations providing services wholly or partly for children to implement strategies and guidelines to create child safe environments.
This forum will provide information that explains the Act, and what recreation and sport organisations need to do in order to comply. A Representative from Department of Families and Communities, SA Police and the Office for Recreation and Sport will be attending to answer questions.
Who should attend?
Anyone who is providing a service to children such as:
• Private sport coaches and instructors (such as swimming, tennis, dance);
• People who provide services within community recreation centres or simular facilities;
• People who provide services through outdoor recreation camps or similar;
• People who provide services within the fitness industry.

some of them seem very good, but having them on a sunday means that most coaches wont be able to attend because of their own games they are coaching.
