I have no idea how they'd put their team out now, they have way too many options..

How about this?

----------Drogba-------------
----Cole--------------------
-----------Lampard----------
-------Ballack-------Deco------
------------Essien--------------
Ferraira---Terry---Carvalho---Bosingwa
------------Cech----------------

pleasing all the players with game time will be a problem. Drogba will expect 90mins a week no doubt

Firstly, I'd probably put Lampard and Ballack together and Deco in the hole. But then again, I follow Man Utd and would prefer them to be in-fighting because of lack of minutes for the other players already mentioned above.

Secondly, to Nachoman.... Nice looking Babe in your signature, man. Well in... :)

truly...with Scolari hopefully having an attacking, stylish frame of mind....

i can see Essien filling Makelele's empty spot due to his unrivalled versatility and ability to plug gaps....

which would leave four attack-minded midfielders in front (however with Ballack's guts in the middle hopefully forcing him to do a bit of the knit and grit, it could work)....

J Cole on the Right for sure... maybe Ballack through the middle with Deco forced to the other side ..... leaving Lampard to play slightly further up maybe and support Drogba...

it's really hard, in moving people possibly out of position just to fit them in (Deco isn't your typical left winger if you will) i've left out naturally positioned players like Malouda, who has a lot of talent and SWP a natural J Cole replacement...

i honestly don't know but all i hope is that big bad Phil finds a place to fit Ballack, Essien, Lampard, Deco and J Cole into a midfield... we'll be shiraz hard to beat that's for sure! Not forgettting the little fact that Didi Drogba will eventually return to the frontline

and now with all the romours that Kaka maybe coming makes you wonder even more whathe will do with them all.

I have no idea what Scolari will do but you cannot forget that SWP and Anelka have had v. good preseasons so cannot be taken out of the equation. I think Bosingwa is injured for first game so that may make his decisions a little easier ...

Decision, decisions, decisions, the 2 best teams in the England right now would have to be Chelsea and Chelsea reserves, I'd say.

With Kaka coming in before the end of the month will be very interesting at training wouldn't you say?

most coaches would be wishing they have Scolari's headahces at the moment!

our midfield is AMAZING.... i dont think we'll get Kaka, Milan really can't afford to let him go and I think Milan's Brazilian contingent will keep him there.... would be amazing though

chelsea should play 4-2-3-1.... like spain.

GK - Cech
Back four - bosigna, terry, carvalho, a.cole
2 - Essien, Ballack
3 - Cole, Deco, Lampard (rotate Lampard & Ballack)
Striker - Drogba

think this formation would be our strongest.

where would robinho fit into the squad ?

maybe a 4 3 2 1 formation

---------- Drogba-------------
------J.Cole------ robinho --------
---Essien----Deco- -Lampard---
--------------------------
A.Cole---Terry---Carvalho---Bosingwa
------------Cech----------------

Thus leaving Ballack, SWP , Mikel as the spare midfilders
Anelka and Sheva as spare strikers
Ferreria, Bridge and Alex spare defenders

problem is, players like lampard, ballack, deco, essien, robinho will NOT take being on the bench well. can't see it all working
