The word chokers is thrown around a bit too much these days

Greece certainly did not choke, they simply were not up to it like most expected.

In a more literal sense the biggest chokers i know are the Scandinavians they gag hard on it, and stick it down twice as hard. Had two swedish meat poles down my oesophagus the other night, and they tied a stocking around my throat while i was doing it. It was a full on choke feast.

Why track back to 2002, everyone has gone close or won something if we all go back as far as 6 years.

yeah they won 3rd place = bronze, the game was played to see who comes 3rd

fastest goal by hakan sukur "Turkey beat the South Koreans 3-2 in a very spirited match for third place, their first goal coming from Hakan Şükür straight from the opening kickoff, the fastest ever in World Cup history." thats world record...dont see greeks winning any except 2004 fluke which most NON greeks will agree
all your goals in the knockout stages were headers from charasteas and kapsis...didnt work this time

Hmmm I reckon I'd rather have seen my country win a championship more than score a quick goal for bronze. Think you are clutching at straws here mate.

and then when they defend they're trophy they dont win any games.... i you're clutching at straws here mate

so confindent of winning..getting drilled and embarassed by sweden
then losing to your brothers from russia 1-0
and finally scoring the only goal of euro 2008 but still losing the game
well done greece, 2004 and never again

Yes they were crap in 2008, can't deny that. But in 20 years who has more to look back on, a Greek or a Turk (assuming neither win anything in that period)?

im not biting, greece has a trophy in their cabinet. u have a bronze medal... well done

however, with regards to your comment on kapsis (in bold), he didnt score a single goal in euro04, let alone a header in the k.o. stages. for your info, greece's goalscorers were

charisteas - 3 - (v spain - group stage, v france - QF, v portugal - F)
basinas - 1 - (v portugal - opening game)
karagounis - 1 (v portugal - opening game)
vryzas - 1 - (v russia - group stage)
dellas - 1 - (v czech republic - SF)

laugh and cry all you want, greece won it. fluke? i say no, others say yes. that comes down to opinion, and we all know opinions arent facts. the facts are, my turkish mongrel friend that needs to be exterminated purely because of his mongrel genes, that greece won euro 2004 and turkey didnt even qualify for that tournament.

good night
everyone is entitled to my opinion

tsss

With all due respect the Euro 2008 forum was only a temporary one and when it was created it was announced it would be merged back into World Football after the tournament (irrespective of who did what).

Greece never had high expectaions

our team was completely different. thats why we didnt make last wc. we lost great players that may have seemed small like Zisis Vryzas and Vassilis Lakis who never scored much but always set everything up. Zagorakis was also the captain and he isnt playing anymore. just like the other two he is with PAOK but he is the president of the club. the problem was not using youth players and our youth players are still improving.

so we wont be at euro 04 standard again atleast until the next world cup. we will have no problem particpating in that.
