Player of the Year

Post by Mr X »

The amatuer league must be close to releasing the Top 6 in each division, assuming they are retaining the same format:

My guess is:
Sunday Div 1:
Chris Nicholls - would have to win it

other invitees:

Brenton Agars (Eliz Downs)
Michael Clark (Ingle Farm)
Rob Spiby (Para Hills West)
Steven Paradiso (Pontians)
Dave Kennewell (Para Hills West)
Lucky Paikos (Florina)

Sunday Div 2:
Bigpond

Whats other peoples thoughts?

Surely I'm a chance for the Div 8 player of the year. I only played 10 game but I must get close

No, I yelled at him to much and bagged him everytime Port lost. I had Marooned ref me twice so hopefully he gave me at least one vote.

Sunday Div 2:
Bigpond
the evergreen bigpond certainly had a great year. Although i'm not sure if he is well liked by the officials which could go against him. Who could forget his performance against Knights away  I think it will haunt the ref for the rest of his life

Some Venue.....You'd think with all the coin the amatuer league has they could perhaps treat the boys to Hyatt, Entertainment centre.

Its a great venue, free food and drinks are put on for all attending, all awards are handed out within an hour. Where are the FFSA awards held ?

Hunt to go back to back!! He was better this year then last... Nicholls could lose too many votes to other team mates.

Possibly a tie again...

Could it be the intrest from $1,000,000 in the bank we will be drinking? Sorry Mega Bonus but all funds from SAASL clubs are detailed in the Annual report. Unlike some secret society's.

Not employed by the SAASL just a member with a view.

The couple that i have been to have been excellent with the FFSA - 1 at the convention centre and the other at the festival centre (I am not sure what they are called but both near casino). Free drinks, great food, etc.
Im not slagging off the amateurs in anyway at all - but I just remember training at the Parks for a few years and having to dodge junkies, and deadbeats sniffing glue......maybe the actual place where they have the awards is nicer.

Good Luck to Chris tonight - really hope that he wins it tonight - would have to be a bit of a joke if he didnt.
