gone with the wind

Post by anfieldboy »

adel city v campbelltown semi today at birkalla - not much mention yet of the windy conditions.

game definitely much closer than scores suggest, city owe two goals to the wind - scooping the ball and making it very very hard for the keeper.
as for the neutral ground?? felt very much like a city home game actually

well fought battle by the two sides - no federation linesmen was a bit disappointing, a few rough calls offside.

lets hope city gets brought back down to earth by metro next week in league - i wonder which player will have to make way for damian mori when cup final comes though ;)

from people i have talked to said the adel city vs campbelltown u17 was a close game , campbelltown hit the crossbar at 1-1 and only for 5 minutes of madness adel city scored 3 goals . amazing result with two teams evenly matched.

:?: What are you suggesting??...surely not that Adelaide City had a few unfamiliar faces today are you?? They wouldn't do that would they??? Just ask Lesiuk...he'll put you straight. (not). Heard they had about 8 subs too. Adelaide City will win the Cup....South Adelaide seem to have a different Cup squad too...will need some long subs benches at Hindmarsh....for all the regulars who get kicked out during the "BIG" games.

:?: strikerzebra....was it the same team that played last week? You must have a massive squad if not?

Some clubs make it a rule that all players play in their correct age group for cup rounds (I know South Adelaide do this) they are not playing outside of their age group just usually play up.

Sounds like theres a few sorelosers here. We won fairly and nobody can face it. We didnt bring any players down or any players up that is our usual under 17 squad. 5-2 thats just the way the cookie crumble n you gota face it :D
