A Grade - Strathalbyn 1 - Murray Bridge utd 1

I did't see the A grade game so can only tell you the score..

In the reserves Murray Bridge just didn't turn up, or at least the team we can be didn't! We went into the break one down and probably deserved to do so, although I only recall Strath having two chances but they took one of them and that wins games. Second half we played well and it was constant pressure on the Strath goal. Our keeper didn't have a save to make, but the absence of a few A grade players saw some of our reserves step up which left us a little short of firepower in the reserves.

That said the Strath keeper played a blinder and once again we were left pondering how the home linesman gave offside when the ball was played to an overlapping player who was behind the passer when the ball was released, baffling..

We can only blame ourselves I guess but the second half performance was worth a point at least..

All Villa in the first half totally dominated by T Scalzi banging in 2 crackers then missing a penalty
Credit to Stirling for providing a competitive second half but they still lacked that killer punch and someone up front to put us under some serious pressure at the back.

B,s Stirling won....not sure on final score 2-0 I Think.

Thanks to the boys at Stirling - good bunch of guys. Ref showed some skills as well throughout the game! Weird how this is the second week in a row that we've played them! Whats the deal with that SAASL.
Pity it was pissing with rain and 6 Deg C - probably one of the coldest days I ever played in. First half was a good show by BOSA considering that we only had 9 players with 10mins before the start of the game. Team had to be reshuffled and were able to absorb a very fit Stirling.

Stirling probably unlucky not to score in the first but their late consolation goal in the second half was a cracking header by a guy who got taken out just moments before - top goal who ever you are.

were you there ?.....All the goals were class from the As today, was good to see lemmy on the field again and nearly scored from his first touch but was a superb save by the keeper, the Bs referee was probably the best ive seen this season
