Titles, Promotion, Relegation on Saturdays
With the final round of the season coming up in Division 1, 2, 3 and the second last round of the season in Division 4, it's worth examining how the important things are going to end up.
Division 1
Title: Two teams can win - Adelaide Villa and BOSA.
A win by Adelaide Villa this weekend against Stirling secures the title. If they draw, they are 6 points clear of BOSA who have 2 games to play (Africa Utd and St Peters), but only one goal better on GD. If BOSA win both of those games then their goal difference would have to be better than Villa's, and they secure the title.
Relegation: Africa Utd and Gleeson are already relegated
Division 2
Title and Promotion: Vipers and Salisbury Villa have both been promoted. Vipers lead the league by one point.
Vipers play against OISC (4th) at home, Salisbury Villa have Budapest (3rd) at home. Salisbury have a superior goal difference. A Vipers win guarantees the title. A Vipers draw and they have to hope Salisbury don't win. If Vipers lose and Salisbury draw, then Salisbury win the title on GD. If Salisbury win they need to hope for a Vipers slip up.
Relegation: Monarchs and Flinders are already down
Division 3
Title: The only first-team title on Saturday to be secured - congratulations MA Hawks.
Promotion: MA Hawks are up. Cougars are one point clear of Burundi Eagles. They play each other in the final round, winner takes all. A draw and Cougars are promoted.
Relegation RB Eagles are relegated. Flinders (2) are relegated due to Flinders being relegated from Division 2. Flinders (2) and McClaren District are on 13 points, and Adelaide Uni (2) are on 15 points. They line up:
Flinders (2) v Hahndorf (4th)
McClaren District v RB Eagles (9th)
Adelaide Uni (2) v MA Hawkes (1st)
McClaren should win and guarantee safety (judging on positions).
Division 4

Call the SAASL and ask? If Flinders (2) finish in a relagation spot then I would suggest that only 2 go down, pending what happens with the SA Bullets of course.acu_falcon wrote:Whats the latest on exactly how many teams are getting relegated from div 3 as Wedesdays loss to your mob complicates it for us....

Could you ask them what is going on with division six whilst you're at it?Kitchimo wrote:Call the SAASL and ask? I know I am a cheeky little devil but has anyone seen Mike Hunt in the car park?

Someone posted something yesterday about SAASL rules stating that 2 teams are always relegated...Kitchimo wrote:Call the SAASL and ask? Relagated as in bottom 2, yet there could be more due to expultions and/or multiple clubs in division?Chade wrote:Someone posted something yesterday about SAASL rules stating that 2 teams are always relegated...Kitchimo wrote:Call the SAASL and ask? Re: Titles, Promotion, Relegation on Saturdays
Yes. So in this instance, if Bullets get auto-relegated (if let back in at all), they AND two others would be sent down to div 4.acu_falcon wrote:Relagated as in bottom 2, yet there could be more due to expultions and/or multiple clubs in division?Chade wrote:Someone posted something yesterday about SAASL rules stating that 2 teams are always relegated...

Div 4
A's: Pumas to seal the title in the A's if they win over torrens valley
B's: up to OISC to lose they have 3 games this week and are currently 1 point behind Pumas with two games in hand.

Whilst I would love Stirling to take points off of Villa I can't really see it happening since Stirling claimed survival with their result last week. We can only hope.

Re: Titles, Promotion, Relegation on Saturdays
The title will be definitely won today in Division 2 and Division 2 reserves. The title will in all probability be won today in Division 1 and Division 4. That leaves Division 4 reserves as the only title up for grabs.
