Would be a good pick up for someone else I must say. Away losses to Bolton and West Brom surely isnt the end of the world.

Reserve team coach Peter Beardsley will take charge of the first team, supported by former England midfielder Steve Stone, until a replacement manager is found. Ex-West Ham manager Alan Pardew has emerged as an early favourite, while Martin O'Neill, Norwich boss Paul Lambert and Alan Curbishley are also being tipped as contenders.

He can come and help Steve out if he is keen on wearing Red and White, Seriously a mistake by Newcastle Hughton is a big reason for Carroll's career!! just a thought.

Before Jol resigned, I thought MON would be headed to Tyneside. Guess I was wrong.

As Outlaw says, Pardew is still the hot favourite. How the shiraz is he better than Hughton?

Ashley has lost the plot.

apparently Jol left Ajax because of too much expectation from the club.

if he goes to Newcastle, that'd be just strange.

Newcastle are to be led to the championship by former West Ham FC Manager Alan Pardew. Good luck to Alana and the Newcastle squad with their trip to Scunthorpe next year.
