Which one does your club have?

If it's B&F are you then ineligible if you have been sent off during the season?

Personally, I think it should be Best Player and of course you're still eligible if you have been sent off. If you get sent off, miss games and still get enough points to win the award then clearly you are the best player. Getting sent off these days is part and parcel of the game, seeing as yellows are handed out like sweets.

Its a tricky one. Most club trophys would be B&F BUT I doubt wether players that have been sent off are ineligable.

may be wrong but i reckon in either 1998 0r 1999 Parafield Gardens player won the B&F but was sent off and was ineligible ..also in the league if you were sent off you become ineligible just ask Mr X

The year I won Gardens B&F (closer to 1898 ) it was by default. Peter Holman was miles ahead on points but had been suspended during the year so was inelegible.

I'm not aware, I may be wrong, of any other country that B&Fs - sometimes the best "player" cannot possible be the fairest. In my opinion B&F is an outdated concept - it's no longer a gentleman's game after all.

At the Farm, there are 3 awards. Coaches award based on a 3-2-1 by 3 coaches for each week, a supporters award based on a 3-2-1 by supporters for each week and a players player award based on a 3-2-1 for each squad voted on at the end of the year. No one is excluded if they are sent off or suspended otherwise Judge Judy wouldn't win anything

Ha ha bloodypassit, you have a long memory, indeed, Div in like 1995 (Im old like you Galey) I polled 29 votes and the winner won it on 15, thing was I got suspended from yellow's wasnt even a straight red, Glad they changed it though as I got sent off the year I won the Div 1 award.

My initial reaction is that you should go with best - you can get sent off for holding your mouth wrong these days. However given the recent concentration on violence in games, should someone sent off for fighting still win? Hmmm

No....but 36 players were suspended in Sunday Division 1 in 1997....that's an average of 2 per League round.
