Best player you've ever seen live?

In 2006 I saw Ronaldinho, Ballack, and Kaka at the height of their powers, and I also saw a baby Messi dribble 5 players as an 18 year old, whilst last week Robin Van Persie was also amazing to watch in the flesh. Keisuke Honda dominated the final of the Asian Cup this January as well, whilst in 2009 Tim Cahill was clearly Australia's best against Oman.

I've seen some great players live, but I think I saw the greatest I've ever seen on Sunday when I saw David Silva tear Man Utd a new one. Surely this bloke is playing better than (or just as well as) anyone in world football at the moment.

(Oh and for Hawkesy's benefit Darius Henderson was pretty decent but he was playing a sh:te team ;))

I saw George Best at Fulham but wasn't old enough to appreciate it but the two best I have seen in the flesh were Zola and Gascoigne and a rather ageing Gullitt - after that Chris Waddle.

Saw Gazza for Spurs, England and Rangers - pure genius.

George Best past his best but still sublime, Dalgleish when at Celtic but Henrik Larsson was the best I have ever seen in the flesh, got knocked for lack of ambition at Celtic went on to get Champs League winners medal with Barca and showed EPL how good he was at Manchester Utd.

Always seemed a really nice humble bloke as well.

I remember the cracker he scored against Melbourne knights, we won 3-0 that day. I would have been about 8 years old i reckon.

Still, it's a big stretch to say he was awesome IMO
