Championship final round this weekend
The two big games are Southampton at home to already relegated Coventry, and West Ham at home to Hull City, who cannot make the playoffs.
Last week it looked like Southampton were going to get promoted, but they lost to Middlesbrough, so the door remains slightly ajar for the Hammers.
If Southampton win, they get automatically promoted
If Southampton draw, West Ham need to win by 4 goals to get promoted
If Southampton lose, West Ham need to win to get promoted
So, Southampton will win and get promoted
Other games can determine the order of 4th, 5th, and 6th and 7th, with Middlesbrough possibly getting 6th if they beat Watford, and Cardiff lose to Crystal Palace.

Re: Championship final round this weekend
so, you're a west ham supporter again this week are you?
what's wrong with the championship thread?
I just hope the irons (oh the irony of that nickname) stay down and they get to run away from Millwall again next season.

So, already we're up to supporting 2 teams. Don't you love it when people answer their own questions.pernunz wrote:When have I ever professed to being anything else? (Aside from an Adelaide United fan)God is an Englishman wrote:so, you're a west ham supporter again this week are you?

what about when you wear your man city shirt?
What did you think of west ham the time you saw them play?
What did you think of their home ground? Can you even name it?
You're going bottle of shiraz nowhere!

How does it feel to concede a completely legitimate goal to a New Zealander?

I can understand a foreign club shirt but to own other club or national shirts is a measure of the man.Stitch That wrote:Why?pernunz wrote: I have a couple of Man City tops, a Hull City top and a Chelsea top amongst others
As I said, never seen them play and would cabernet himself in a Millwall v scum game. Didn't answer the question about their home ground as he's still on google looking it up.

Precious old timers afraid of change. Show me a real football fan under the age of 25 who only has 1 football top

Re: Championship final round this weekend
I could show you many. A real football fan would never wear the shirt of another team in his country. The fact as a west ham "fan" you admit to owning a chelsea shirt is hysterical. Go on a west ham forum and tell them you wear a chelsea shirt sometimes.
Still googling?

Just detracting from your team starting with M having an ordinary season, and with Neil Warnock, Michael Brown, and Danny Pugh all in the Leeds side you can't even claim to have the dirtiest team in the league

Re: Championship final round this weekend
You keep using that word, but last time I checked you couldn't make a proper noun a verb.
Unless you include 4 Feb 2012. The day that Millwall got Winstoned

Re: Championship final round this weekend
apparently..
if
WHU 3-0 Hull & Southampton 1-1 Coventry
then
Both teams on 86pts
Both teams +35GD
Both Team 82 goals for
Both teams 47 goals against
Southampton will go up due to better head to head record

Yep. Great of them to cover the games. Southampton were always in the box seat, and no surprise that they went up automatically. They probably deserved to finish top given how they played this year, with the likes of Lallana and Lambert.El Pibe D'Oro wrote:Great work Fox Sports
And so it goes down to the playoffs, Friday and Saturday morning.
I'm predicting a West Ham vs Birmingham final, with Birmingham to get promoted

I believe that birmingham will win the play offs, west ham have looked shaky last couple of games from what i have read but thats in my view

3 wins out of our last 4, including a 6-0 trouncing of Brighton and Hove Albion. Ricardo Vaz Te has been an excellent signing, and if we had him for the entire season we would've gone up automatically.Pommy09 wrote:I believe that birmingham will win the play offs, west ham have looked shaky last couple of games from what i have read but thats in my view
Birmingham are our bogey team, though. Would much rather play Blackpool in the final (if we get there). Playing the first leg away at Cardiff will be a bonus, as we've won more away games this season than any other in our history.
