More laughable than South Adelaide SANFL club (almost).

Problem? I'd say A-grade district has too many (average) teams/grades.

They even seem to have to recruit from interstate and STILL are shite!

Get Boof and Dizzy back for a start and see if we can get some "local fire" back!

The problem is the team is easy to get into. You see in Victoria, Finch made 150 in a one-day game last week, three days later he was dropped from the shield team. Great competition for places, or like Tasmania, have a very settled squad. Our team is like a carousel (trust me, I work in the scoreboard, and every game we have to change an average of 5-6 names). this does not bode well for team spirit, and there is no local fire because there are only about 4 locals in the team!!! The coach and captain are foreign. We don't lack talent at grade level, but your are right, the quality of the competitions are poles apart, due to district cricket getting watered down. Believe me, it's horrible, I have to watch every minute

You poor sherry! Must "look you up" at the next test match there, assuming you get those gigs too?

The Redbacks team is not a shield team. They are a one day team.

Doing well against tassie today, see how they go with the bat though

Blew it! Tailenders trying to blast the winning runs instead of leaving it for the recognized batsman at the crease. Comical as usual.

i think our slection of players on match day and signings show where our focus is, botha hasn't played in the whites in years, yet he is captain ffs

very much a team focussed on winning in the coloured clothes and yet we got done by a weakened tassie side

on match day they were thinking about not playing klinger in the 4 day match, he would be first name on the sheet, followed by lyon and christian

Just a question, how is having Paine, Cosgrove, Cowan, Bailey, Ponting, Faulkener, Krezja & Doherty a weakened side? Who missed, only Hilfenhaus afaik.

look at those names, only 1 is a solid 4 day performer in klinger, hughes has been up and down in form, lyon has patchy shield form as he never has a target to bowl at and botha, fergie and christian are all more well known short form players

look at lyon for australia, when he has th batting to back him up he can take wickets

worst win...but we'll take it. Flying high in the Ryobi (only loss was 3-4 runs) and a couple wins in the Shield too.
