MA Hawks V Adel Villa - Villa traditionally slow starters so I'm going to tip a 1-1 draw

St Peter V Adel Wanderers - Massive game between a side that is consistently good in St. Peter's and a Wanderers side that's had a great pre season. Wanderers to win 1-0

Comets V Sturt Marion - Comets return to Div 1 and I know Politis has them primed for this week. A tough one first up for them but I think at home they can win 2-1

Titans v Adel Uni - Titans come up to div 1 and first up get a team who will run all day and never give up. I'm tipping a draw here 2-2

Iggies v Bosa - I'm going to tip Bosa here I think they are too strong for Iggies. Bosa 3-0

From what I've heard and seen this pre season. old ignatians' (they were cabernet last pre season as well though and turned good in the league) and comets for the drop.

Moggy will get the best out of saints so they have to be my favourites for the title.

Don't remember saying it but I rate Dave very highly so wouldn't surprise me. From a great part of the world just supports the wrong team.

Issue with adelaide uni is the transient nature of the side.

I also said I couldn't see where Iggies would get a point from last year after seeing them pre season and they did very well. So maybe the kiss of death can before the kiss of life as well.

I reckon that is a furfy. It's no more or less transient than your average club. Every club has a player or two that comes in for a year or two then disappears to another club. The only difference with our transients is that they are from overseas, rather than the next suburb. We always get some youngsters in with the freshers, but the useful ones usually hang around for a while. Similar to another club's juniors coming through.

Like every club, most of our turnover happens when we change coaches. New coaches always attract new players, and scare some regulars off. Stability usually comes a couple of years into a coaches reign.

round 1
Draw - Villa usually start slow, and the hawks shared all the points with us last year
SPOC start very well, wanderers may surprise - Draw
Sturt should be to strong for comets
Uni to strong for Titans
BOSA start very well, should win

Agree, uni have had good player retention over the last few years.

The Hawkesy curse starting to rear it's head again.

Hopefully the coach down there can turn it round as that is far too good a pitch to be in Div 2.
