The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Re: Round 5 scores
Interesting results, especially for Metro that consolidate their leadership and are now definitely the favorite team. Uni absolutely smashed Cumberland, no surprise maybe but they are the second force of the league and will give Metro a good run IMO. AC also had a good win with Fulham. Well done to the Under 15 who managed to beat Sturt Marion with a large score. What's happening at Sturt? A few weeks ago someone who saw them play said here that they seemed a bit unfit and was very criticized...Could this be true though? Both Prems and Reserves are getting a poor run compared to expectations.

Bad egg you are so quick to criticize. Metro are playing well. However, you continue to put down Cumberland and make it obvious that they are struggling this year. I don't think that needs to continue, it's not doing you any favors and it's definitely not doing them any either. The metro v Uni game will be interesting. Lets just hope that Uni will still have Rachael playing. With Quigs scoring 5 goals today it is clear she is a very important player in the uni side. Can they do it without her v metro?Bad Egg wrote:Interesting results, especially for Metro that consolidate their leadership and are now definitely the favorite team. 4-2 result for the state v Sturt match was unfortunate and some would say that it wasnt a reflection as to how Sturt played as a team. At least the score was kept to a reasonable difference. Well done to Sturt for being in front at the half time whistle 2-1. Sturt have experienced some early major injuries but if you were at the Sturt v 15's game you would have seen and probably mentioned in your post that maybe the 15's need to realize that they are playing in a senior competition & the knocks they take & the tackles that they recieve from their opposition are going to continue throughout the year. Maybe they need to work on their strength rather than bring on players & clearly put them on pedistalls pressuring them to perform. Every team will do the same, man mark particular players to get them out the game. This was done brilliantly by Sturt today.
Rant over. Well done to all the teams who got a win this week.
Hopefully we see this north, south, state game go ahead Wednesday night.

Live to play, are you dismissing Adelaide City as title contenders? You mention Metro and Uni. You do remember City beating Uni 3-0 in the Charity match don't you?live to play wrote:Bad egg you are so quick to criticize. Metro are playing well. Not at all United we stand. I was simply commenting on bad eggs points. AC have a quality group of players lets hope those players that were selected for the game on Wednesday night are given the opportunity to play.
