TTG v Grove - the Grove playing well, unfortunately and will win 4-1
PH East v Blue Eagles - East will win comfortably 2-0
Florina v Knights - A game to watch, gonna go with a draw 3-3.
Beograd v Para Hills Lions - Probably a pisstake of a game, draw is fair enough 2-2.
Munno Para v Brahma - Not much between the two but after last weeks result I think Brahma will win 2-1

Congrats on the wins...can't complain if you don't score !
Very uncharacteristic game from Knights who seemed to become sidetracked and frustrated by of the early refereeing decisions, or lack of.
Knights need more discipline on and off the track especially when up against teams that rile them up.
Today's game will hurt the Knights for a few weeks and then need some of the fringe players to step up
to the plate to finish the season off.

Hopefully them don't get their Mojo back against the "East" next week,..... but I think Knights will bounce back firing. :(

Brilliant game down at Munno Para yesterday. Fast paced, some good tackles thrown about by both teams and a good bit of banter thrown across the pitch. Two cracking goals and a gem of a save from the Para keeper at the death.

Good to see another club like ours not overcharging on the drinks either... $4.50 beers!!

Can't be using the referee as one of your excuses, he was just as bad for both teams.

Where did I do that ? I thought I blamed ourselves. :?
However, the decisions yesterday and how the game was handled will affect us for the next few weeks.
How many cards did Florina get yesterday ?

Interesting observation here: your defender was sent off for two clear yellows. In fact, before he got his second, he was already walking to the change room because he knew what was coming. Your second red was because one of your players intentionally threw a ball into the back of our players' head - violent conduct. Can't see anything wrong with that?

A player (and a very good player mind you) was only given a yellow for a very late, lunging sprigs-in tackle. I thought the ref handled that situation well. Could've easily got carried away and given him a straight red. But he ran over, separated the players, talked to him and gave him a caution.

You only saw what you wanted to yesterday mate. I thought the ref did a good job, in a physical game where your players gave as good as they got. Your number 10 kicked our keeper when he had the ball in his hands, your number 9 lashed out a few times behind play, or did you miss his kicks and elbows?

After the game that number 9 spoke to your coach and said the exact truth: you guys didn't turn up to play and you didn't play football at all.

Your second red was because one of your players intentionally threw a ball into the back of our players' head - violent conduct. Can't see anything wrong with that?

Tom Foglia (who is a very good player mind you) was only given a yellow for a very late, lunging sprigs-in tackle. I thought the ref handled that situation well. Could've easily got carried away and given Tom a straight red. But he ran over, separated the players, talked to Tom and gave him a caution.

Never disputed any of the cards 'we' received....just the lack of cards the other way.
Highlighted irony...did you completely miss the first half
As for football, you're right, we didn't play well which I have already stated.
Tom Foglia is a skillful attacker who gets little protection week-in week out and was playing an uncharacteristic role of defender at the time.
If he could have received a red for that then why did the player that cleaned up our defender Lee White not even receive a caution?
Be happy with your win, there are always two side to every football story.

I'm not sure what you mean by this: i thought the first half we could've easily been 4 or 5 up. We scored two, hit the bar, missed a sitter and your keeper made some top-shelf saves. If you're referring to a few of the tackles that were flying in, then yes, no doubt both teams could've easily had a few yellows on the board.

Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season

Only referring to the tackles.....and only Knights did have yellows.

PS - Jamie Hart made some quality saves also !

are you sure that league table for the reserves is correct swanny? on the SAASL website it shows easties reserves have a Win, Draw, loss of 7-1-4 going into this round but you have us as 7-0-6 now. shouldnt we be 8-1-4?
