Just a bit of background on Torrens Valley Soccer Club. As mentioned, we are based in Birdwood. We are a Saturday team and have been in SAASL since 2004. We had a brief stint in Div 2 before eventually being relegated to Div 3. In 2009 we suffered a mutiny and very nearly folded and struggled with one team in Div 4. In 2010 we nearly folded yet again but decided to enter a side in Div 6. Much to our surprise with the young squad we had (predominantly under 16s), we were eventual champions. Since then we have been able to get past our previous issues and develop our young squad in Div 4. This year we were pushed up to Div 3 despite not finishing top two and we have had a tough season. Losing a few key players, one of which has been pivotal in One Tree Hill's promotion to Div 2 hasn't helped our cause and whilst we have been competitive we have lacked 2-3 quality players needed to get the results needed to stay up. Hence why we are looking for players willing to come up to the beautiful Hills and help us with our ambition of earning promotion back to Div 3.
