Re: CUP RESULTS ROUND1
Took my first ever sojourn out to Bradwood oval today. In both games the away team were the first to score before Stirling leveled going into half time and going on to win with second half goals. In the reserves Ghan looked rattled whilst 2-1 down before pulling an equalizer out of nowhere. They didn't appear to be as rattled after Stirling went 3-2 up but were unable to force extra time.I wrote:A's: Stirling Districts 3 Mclaren Districts 1

In the firsts' game Stirling did have the ball in the net only to have the goal chopped off for a dodgey offside, only to have Mclaren Districts go down the other end and score. Stirling leveled from the spot after a handball in the box. In the second half they had another goal disallowed for a dodgey offside before two late goals killed off Mclaren Districts.

Southern Breakers ( 0 ) Southern Knights ( 6 )
.............................................. Tom Foglia 2
.............................................. Aaron O'Toole
.............................................. Matt Daughtry
.............................................. Chris Bradley
.............................................. Ross McNab
Southern Breakers gave a reorganised Southern Knights a bit of a scare at Port Elliott holding their visitors to 0-0 at half time.
Knights fielded new signings Ross McNab and Shaun Papworth (South Adelaide Panthers) but were minus Matthew Harrison, Scott Bradley and Andrew Alvino. Second half Goals from Tom Foglia 2, Chris Bradley, Ross McNab, Matthew Daughtry and Aaron O'Toole. (I think ) saw Knights eventually run away with the game.
Sadly Matt Daughtry's last game for Knights this season as he now heads off to the snowfields for employment....
Reserve Cup

Re: CUP RESULTS ROUND1
I prefer to watch from around the halfway line so ended up going down to the ground. Had the pitch been 90º from what it was I probably would stayed up there. The heinekens were the cheapest I've ever seen at a SAASL game.otto62 wrote:Thanks for the match reports, in Sydney so couldn't get there. Thanks to Andrews Farm, kept keepin on all day even when the score started to get out of hand. Their goal was best of the day.......halfway line from the kick off. Good luck for what is going to be a tough season boys.
