During the T20 WC the commentators all said he was a real talent , 100 from 80 balls he looked pretty impressive.

He's a Tyke following in the footsteps of Joe Root another great Yorkshireman.

Fastest ever 100 from an England opener as well. Zak Crawley, a lot of his family are Millwall supporters.

My cousin was saying the mail is that Anderson and Broad will both retire after Ashes 2023.

Not sure on your cousin but I think you may be correct.

Imagine the greatest fast bowler and the 2nd greatest ever retiring at the same time.

Going to be a cracker final session!
All 3 results still in play - would be monumental for England to lose given the position they were in after day 1

Accidentally...yes.
In the end England came out in the final session as the only team trying to win the game and eventually did.

Another reason why England shouldn't have coaches from England ....

Brave declarations - there will be some ex-english captains turning in their graves. ;-)
Good for test cricket and agree, still the best form of the game.

Just one of the great test wins, no one had the right to win on that pitch. This england side led by stokes just has something about it and a bravery that should be commended. They are making test cricket extremely relevant and unlike the Aussies (yes that's a dig at my own) they are capturing the imagination of the people which it really needs at test level. 7 out of 8 tests since stokes took over we have won, just a remarkable turnaround from the previous 17 tests.

Only thing I cant understand Ollie Robinson getting MOTM

Harry Brook 153(116) & 87(65)

Ollie Robinson 37(51), 1/72(21) & 4/50(22)

Stokes focuses on his job as captain and a player

Pat Cummins focuses on things which have no relevance to a captain or a player .

The timing of some of his wickets were crucial. Broke up partnerships, came at times when we desperately needed them.

Strange table really, we have more points than every other team. Some teams could be rewarded for only playing at home in conditions that suit them and not playing many games at all.

That said, it's all about current form and we would surely be top of that.

Gloves underneath the ball. Pakistani umpire gave it out. Third umpire gave it out.

Defence didn't even need to work hard for that one.

Aussies clutching at straws AGAIN.

Gloves either side of the ball. Pakistani umpire gave it out. Third umpire gave it out.

Defence needs to either open the other eye or have his annual check up at Specsavers.
Edited for accuracy ;-)

You say this every time yet it's always others whingeing.

If it' touching the grass then it would have been easy for the 3rd umpire to gove it not out.

Either the umpires are cheats and biased against pakistan (including the pakistani umpire) or I am right.

The umpires aren't cheats, incompetent maybe, but the keeper might be. They gave a "soft out", most likely after all the fieldsmen celebrating, then realised they didn't really know so sent it upstairs. If it was a soft not out, no way they would have overturned it either. Meanwhile the rest of the world gets a chance to watch over and over, slow mo, and pictures showing ball touching turf, then it stands to reason. Benefit of doubt to batsman.

First country to ever clean sweep pakistan in pakistan.

9 wins in the last 10 test
ODI World Cup Winners
T20 World Cup Winners

This thread hasn't aged well has it.

Clearly we're the best white ball side in the world. Hard to think of a better cricketing nation at the moment.
