Junior high fees and eftpos machines
The focus is get your money as quickly as possible to secure your child's place in a FFSA clubs junior colts team. This is happening around FFSA junior clubs in Adelaide Town. This is more about revenue raising than teaching children the game of life.
What is the FFSA going to do about this unsustainable road junior colts soccer has taken????

Here's one that may be more relevant to the thread. Although, as I don't see all the posts, I'm not sure.Stuckey wrote:Just to reward everyone for looking at this thread.

I'd like to see kids become more of a 'pay wave' where they deposit money into the club just for walking past, it would be much more efficient.Bomber wrote:I, for one, am grateful we have EFTPOS machines

Re: Junior high fees and eftpos machines
We will see more and more kids only playing school football in the future. And when a club identifies a talented lad, what will happen? Free fees??
As an example, I wonder if Mabil or Teeboy payed club fees.

Re: Junior high fees and eftpos machines
State government has just introduced a $50 sports voucher for all primary school students that can go towards club fees..... Let's hope clubs don't all of a sudden raise their fees by $50

Re: Junior high fees and eftpos machines
Adelaide City, Metro, Blue Eagles & Campbelltown all charge above $800 in fees Under 10 up. Other clubs charge a lot less.
They have a captured market for juniors in the east/north east. Too far to travel to other Premier League clubs and inconvenient to up lift kids to other clubs and disrupt their soccer and friendships developed.

Whats the cost of VPL clubs?west_ham wrote:Adelaide City, Metro, Blue Eagles & Campbelltown all charge above $800 in fees Under 10 up. Other clubs charge a lot less.

Whats the price of NSW NPL clubs?
How much less are West Adelaide, Raiders, White City, Birkala?
How much is Tea Tree Gully tennis club?
How much is Glenelg Golf Club membership with 2 nights a week training and a competition every week end?
How much is a years membership for North Adelaide Swimming club?
You make it sound like price fixing by those 4 clubs, maybe ring the ACCC.

Re: Junior high fees and eftpos machines
$800 = just over $15 a week. Even if say looking at 8 months of season, say train twice a week, play once @ 39 weeks, works out around just under $7 per session. Take into account pitch hire/maintenance, lights (electric bills), equipment, coaches, FFSA fees, I see it is as fairly cheap!

Junior fees cap
Junior fees cap of $2,000+GST. This is taking into consideration the fees charged across other NPL competitions.
http://leopoldmethod.com.au/ffa-nationa ... oria-2014/
I understand thats a cap, but there's obviously a reason they have had to put a cap at 2k.

It's not exactly "cheap" but it's not out of the realms of affordability either.Bomber wrote:$800 = just over $15 a week. Discounts applicable to parent's who have more than one child playing I believe, but not sure how much.
Also note - many players get personal sponsor (local deli owner, uncle Johnny etc) who pay the fees and get framed player photo/strip on display in their place of business.
