Quite right, Germany see Holland as its main rival. It still doesn't alter the fact that England couldn't give a shiraz about playing Australia.Brian the Postman wrote:

Argentina is political rather than football, they don't see you as an equal or even rival.

Why would Germany see a region as a rival?magnet wrote:Quite right, Germany see Holland as its main rival. How would you even know about it if you didn't care about Australia's national team and therefore visited their forum?God is an Englishman wrote: You may not have noticed but the thread title is probably
The give away.
For example, the only times I went into woman's football forum was to seek a secretary for Friday lunches and to post about Croydon wanting to field a woman's team next season on behalf of someone else at the club.
Otherwise I don't dare bother and couldn't tell you about any other threads there.

Usually the coach trying new players and/or formations, nothing to get excited about.
But, it does make it interesting to poke fun at the "poms" whenever Australia beats them in sport
I guess you seem to so rarely beat us these days that I can understand you getting excited when it happens.
You cared to reply.....

Re: ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA
Vardy looks set to be the first to say he can't be bothered playing against Australia. Apparently he'd rather go to a wedding.
Re: ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA
Talksport were just saying it's good to have a couple of tough warm-up games against Turkey and Portugal. No mention of Australia. I guess they're not bothered either

Re: ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA
I was listening to an interview with Craig Moore and he was saying prior to the game against England the Socceroos hadn't played a game in more than a year, my how times have changed since the change in people running the game in this country.

Scared that's all. Getting married may well be a regret later in life instead of playing, we shall see.God is an Englishman wrote:Vardy looks set to be the first to say he can't be bothered playing against Australia. Apparently he'd rather go to a wedding.

Gotta ask, if his wedding was planned, why was he even selected in the squad?Bomber wrote:Scared that's all. Re: ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA
Because he will play in the bigger games against Turkey and Portugal. His wedding was brought forwards apparently as originally it clashed with the Euro's.Slinky_Pete wrote:Gotta ask, if his wedding was planned, why was he even selected in the squad?Bomber wrote:Scared that's all. Re: ENGLAND v AUSTRALIA
In the paper it said he was meant to get hitched last year, but got called up to national team, so had to postpone it so Roy said he couldn't possibly stuff him up a second time. More or less same thing really, but I'm guessing as to Bacon's question that the squad was announced for the 3 games.
