Their new coach hasn't even taken charge of a game yet and apparently they're looking for a replacement.

My source tells me they may have just blown the chance of even having the meeting by going to the press about it.

Oh and wanting to go into the A League

Better have a chat with your Vice Chairman then - direct quotes from him about it.

maybe also ask your vice chairman if the meeting with Robbie Fowler was to be confidential .... so the question is how did the media find out about ????

Amazing how many people on this thread see this as a negative.

Regardless of whether it's West Adelaide, Adelaide City, the bottom team from State League 2 or your mate's O35s side, any mention of any NPL or SL team in the paper is a WIN.

Anything good happening at a rival club is a negative to some people.

It is a negative because the ex player involved is considering cancelling the meeting because of this press involvement. It is a negative because there's a current person in the role, who reads in the paper that they're looking to replace him before he's even taken charge of a game.

Some history:

With respect
Adelaide City.

A very successful NPL and old nsl club.
The measure over a long period not a short period.

They had and have consistent coaching positions .

Kreft
Matic
Mori

wah2 needs to learn from this.

What needs changing at times is not the coach but those trying to advise the coach???

What role? The article says this is for a position in a new HAL club. How can someone be in the role when the role doesn't exist?

This is ridiculous.

They should be trying to get the legend John Dedes to coach the club. They should not be trying to attract a big name like Fowler.

They need Dedes expertise from how to administrate a junior committee, right through to how to coach a senior team.

If you research around the soccer world the success of great clubs?

The answer is always, success comes from wanting to be associated with playing for the shirt and the history behind that shirt.

Adelaide City was and is good at this.

Worse than that, it's a negative because the Vice President of the club obviously thinks he's bigger than the club and didn't even consult his board or at the very least his President
