FC Bayern München v Barcelona tonight.

I wonder what reception Robert Lewendowski gets in Munich.

Still three games to go and nobody in the group has really played well tbh. We are at least making chances so I'm comfortable that Conte will get us through the group stages.

I do wish he'd stop picking Royal, that bloke must train the bottle of shiraz house down, or he's shagging Conte's daughter

Finally a team has limited Haaland to only 2 goals although he only lasted on the park 45 minutes.

Serbia kept him at bay without their 3 standard defenders last week in Oslo.

Are you trying to tell me that he's not as effective when he's playing for Norway? No way
eagleboy wrote: Sun Sep 04, 2022 1:59 pmErling Haaland has scored 10 goals in his first six Premier League matches. Looks unstoppable.
 People said that about Sterling when he was at City, it's why he got picked for England. The majority of strikers create very little for themselves, they are the trigger and they require someone else to load the gun. Haaland is a seriously good striker being supplied by the best midfield in the world, my granny would score a dozen a season with KDB, Silva, Foden, Gundogan, Mahrez etc. putting balls in, but if Haaland played for Bournemouth everyone would be wondering what all the hype was about.

Imagine how many Harry would score if he had a midfield like that and played for a better side. I guess we will know next season

Newcastle's Wilson,Fulhams Mitrovic would both rip it up as City's main strikers.

Not to the extent that Haaland does, but they'd score a shed load more than they do currently. Just look at Sterling, well behind where he was at City.

Probably should've waited until the Arsenal game before posting

But I cannot for the life of me understand how a professional manager picks Royal every game, he's worse than Sissoko, they're athletes, not footballers.

In Conte We Trust

Well sort of, it baffles me that he continues to pick the rubbish players to start, we go behind, he subs them for better players and then we somehow scramble a result. I know we've got a lot of injuries atm, but surely you'd start with the good 'uns and bring on the cabernet only if absolutely necessary.

My only consolation is that we're somehow third in the league, through to the CL knockout stages and he's only had two windows to buy players that he wants and most of them, expensive sub Richarlison apart, have been a success. With a WC in December I can't see a lot of players moving in January, but clear out a few more next Summer and maybe we'll be OK. Desperately need a creative midfielder and a really solid centre half and I'd love to get shot of Lloris, but that won't be happening.
