I really don't recall - my mind went back to when Lillee/Marsh took the 500/1 on offer in early 80's when Botham and Willis decided to do something about it.Victor Meldrew wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 2:25 pmWas India v Aus the last time - before today - with Laxman the hero?

And people say test cricket is dead.
My aussie colleague thinks we were robbed of the tie. I think, that's cricket.
I'm guessin a certain person didn't see a ball bowled but that's the fun of it all.

The previous ball to the final wicket bounced way over Anderson's head but wasn't called.God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 3:03 pm And people say test cricket is dead.

We're still the most in form test team in the world.
We're still the double world champions.

The youth of today need to be made more aware of test cricket, especially after games like this. T20/Big bash doesn't hold a candle to it.

We won the series where we're world champions.
We're still playing the other series where we're world champions.

Re: England cricket team wow
Possibly the hardest series to predict for me. England injuries, Anderson/Broad age factor, Bazzball factor (will it continue and be successful), Warner factor (ie team selection) etc. Aussies may appear more settled but playing away, some are getting practice in county cricket though which may tip the balance in their favour.

Like previous series, may turn on brilliance from one person.Bomber wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 3:12 pm Possibly the hardest series to predict for me. Archer knocking out Smith
Smith freely scoring runs
Leach's superb 1*
Those moments go other ways and the last home series goes very differently.
England's form and the fact australia haven't won a series in England for 22 years gives me a lot of hope.

Someone I know will be over while the tests are on but doesn't have a ticket, do you know if tickets are available through say stubbhub , he is prepared to pay above odds to get into Lords?God is an Englishman wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 3:39 pmLike previous series, may turn on brilliance from one person.Bomber wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 3:12 pm Possibly the hardest series to predict for me.
