What happened to this Forum.....?

Post by Old Redback »

.....it used to be fun, full of banter and actually quite informative. No one seems to bother with it anymore which I think is a shame.

I think you'll find a lot of people that used to post on here probably aren't involved with amateur sides anymore, and a lot of the current playing crop probably don't even know this forum exists.

Also, we don't get scores 3 business days later anymore  which means they dont need to be posted here which means less traffic

Yeah, this was the kind of place people use to talk about things like Pirie being 3 wins from 3 and giving div 1 a nice rattle to start the season

Legga was a big driver of it all and when Farm and Gardens were up and about there was a forumite or 2 from each of those clubs that would engage in the banter.
That said - Pirie flying this year which is great to see - that home ground advantage is MASSIVE for them!
Modbury flying in Div 2 with a couple of gun recruits

It's always good to see different clubs having a crack! Hopefully Pirie can set them selves up for a stay in div1.

Modbury and Angle Vale the 2 to watch in div2.
Angle Vale growing at an incredible rate with 5 men's teams (As/Bs now in div4 Saturday), 2 women's teams and a great number of juniors...

Was up at Angle Vale on the weekend as my lad was playing juniors.
Really great complex they've built there.
2 footy ovals, full netball facilities, and 3 soccer pitches (1 for mini-roos)

Put 7 past Rowe Park today and looked like they played 95% of the game in 2nd gear

Number 4 for angle Vale looked like he was on vacation at the back, looked too good for this division.

Legga and nugget would talk shïte for 20 pages, then right winger and general would have some to and fro for a page or two and the Anglos would lose their cabernet over the effniks and their posts

Good old days

Still conceded 2 so maybe he was on vacation for part of the game

Both CBs were sleeping for the goal from the throw-in.. but tbf I think the only 2 awake for the move were the thrower and the guy that scored. Everyone else was standing still. Very quick thinking from those 2
