Rules on extra time

Post by Guest1233 »

Anyone know if there’s injury time in junior leagues?

Saw a match go 15 minutes over today which was ref’d by the home team. Side line ref called time and the kids questioned the ref who let play continue. Game conveniently ended just after the home team scored to level up the game.

The kids aren’t playing World Cup but should be able to expect a fair game for their efforts.

And from an offside goal... I'd like to know what FSA actually gets money for because it's not to pay ref fees. Too busy looking towards the newest scheme to claw money from parents pockets instead of making sure the games are run correctly. Games getting out of control because they're being reffed by poor kids or parents who have no idea what they're doing, making bias calls and not calling out players for rough play before it blows up.

Only a matter of time before they end up with parents on the pitches!

FSA now in control of pitch allocations too, leaving first pick pitches empty and lower div games being played on the main pitch over JPL teams. Absolute cabernet show!

Yes they are. It's quite a sight to watch parents and coaches in junior football.

Regardless of parents reactions the kids deserve a fair game they devote their time and energy to the sport.

FSA dont allocate pitches at club grounds, clubs do.

Don’t want to say the age group to protect anonymity lol but it’s juniors, not miniroos so there’s points on offer.

They cannot be that old or the clubs wouldn't be reffing the games and running the lines, but most of those parents putting their hand up to referee or run the line (I was one of them), even though they're not very talented, wouldn't dream of cheating. Most of the others on the sidelines giving them stick are generally too lazy to bother and almost certainly even more incompetent.

The kids should be competitive and the parents should stay quiet. Easy to say and hard to do, but as adults we should be able to make an effort. ;-)

We played Raiders on sunday morning and as its mini rules they supplied the ref who did a great job, talked to the players, asked us (Coaches) to speak with the boys at half time to ensure the game flowed well, resulted in a very entertaining game.
